The GRONEN Research Conference 2012 will be held at the Couvent Royal situated in Saint Maximin la Sainte Baume around 50 km East of Marseille in the beautiful Provence region. This venue is situated in a former Dominican monastery that was founded together with a historical landmark Basilica in 1295 by Charles II of Anjou, King of Sicily and Count of Provence. The Couvent Royal is next to the Basilica and built around a cloister. It was used by the Dominican order from its origins until 1959.
